We, at CISDD, were noticing that on your departmental websites you have links to resources for students or pages listing internship information. We were wondering if you could place a link to CISDD's intern programs (we are a CUNY Central program) on your department website. Our office has over 200 CUNY students interning with various governmental agencies around the City, the vast majority of the students are CS/CIS majors. We are continuing to grow and need to tap into the student population in as many ways as possible. Perhaps you could add us to a page on your site? Blog/wiki design/administrator
Are you wiki/blog savvy, with programming chops and populist
leanings? The Tiltfactor lab is hosting a project led by a
graduate student in Hunter’s Integrated Media Arts program related
to social activism. We are looking for a technical manager/admin on this activist web project.
We have immediate need for help tweaking available wiki/blog software to meet a specified design. The initial prototype will require appx 20 hours of work for someone skilled. We have plans to make the system more complex, but we would also be interested in extending the project as internship credit in the fall under Professor Flanagan, Tiltfactor (http://www.tiltfactor.org). Computer Science or Media Studies credit available. Swap of services/media skills also a possibility.
Ideally the person interested would like experience working with a media savvy team on social software. The software design is innovative, and this experience and will be great addition to your portfolio/resume.
