CSci 132, Practical UNIX and Programming

This is a course that I designed as an alternative introduction to programming for students who do not intend to major in Computer Science but who have a need to know basic programming principles, and who wish to get up to speed quickly. It is a Perl programming course, with an introduction to the basic principles and tools of UNIX. The course requires no prior knowledge of programming or computers. The most recent syllabus contains an hour-by-hour breakdown of the course.
